OUR PRINCIPLES

Longevity

We are a long term focused business that considers the impacts of our decisions today. As a result, before we make decisions, we consider who will be affected by our choices in the future. This approach allows us to remain vigilant with a clear conscious and vision for future.

Collaboration

We strongly believe that collaboration is king. Our business is firmly based on this principle, whether applying it to our strategic partnerships or our clients, we believe in sharing ideas and thoughts to co-design solutions to bring about the most effective outcomes.

Authenticity

The mission behind our service delivery from a responsibility standpoint is to work towards creating environmental and social change for current and future generations. This comes from a place of genuine authenticity, something we strongly advocate for when working with our clients.

Impact

We work with clients to create real social impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia, whether through employment, business opportunities or education. The goal is to show the way and create a roadmap for others to become self-sufficient and self-governing to aspire to be what they choose to be.

ABOUT US

Sustainability & Environment

We are an Aboriginal waste management business that was established to set the benchmark for sustainability and environmentally conscious waste disposal and recycling while providing maximum opportunities for those that are, physically, socially or economically disadvantaged.

Gali is a purpose driven business, we push industry to remain accountable whether it's towards meeting their Aboriginal participation requirements ethically or diverting more waste from landfill.

For us at Gali, community and the environment come first, yes, we are a for profit business, we don't shy away from that, although we don't jeopardise our responsibilities for personal gain.

To that degree, when we partner or align with other businesses to strengthen our capacity or capability, we make sure that our values are aligned to ensure accountability when doing business with other organisations.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Community & Opportunities

We are a community focused business, providing employment and procurement opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities across NSW.

We have an internal business commitment through our own Aboriginal participation plan and where the opportunities present themselves, ensure that we create a circular economy by engaging suppliers and employing staff that represent the communities where we operate.

From a broader diversity standpoint, we are strong advocates and industry leaders for women in non-traditional roles and employing individuals from minority and under represented groups. We have an internal diversity and inclusion plan that talks to this and we action these initiatives with ongoing performance measurements and indicators.
